Still Loving Vacation

Yeah I'm still on vacation and there is a lot to share. I have several photos and even more stories to tell once I get my thoughts and photos organized. In the meantime, I received this video in my email today. If you have a kitty of your own and have ever tried to print something from your computer, you'll apreciate this....I promise.

A Cheeseburger in Paradise

Last night, I had a cheeseburger in paradise....both literally and figuratively. This vacation has been a long time in coming and now it is here. The whole trip has been an amazing one including a weeklong visit with my mom, brother, and niece. Now, I'm with my son and his family (including my new month old granddaughter). Wow! What a rush! Now I'm a grand dad. That is still sinking in, but it has been a blast so far. As for the rest of it, Tennessee was great. My hometown has changed alot, but it is still home and I'll be there on Monday when my brother gets married. For now though, I'm in Virginia Beach, enjoying my family, my granddaughter, and all the sights and sounds that are the birthplace of our great nation. Oh, and yes the cheeseburger in paradise.....at least Jimmy Buffet's version. And Paradise it is!

An "OctoMom" Halloween!

Okay....I know it's probably a little early to be starting this, but I have a feeling this is going to be the rage this Halloween. Last year It was Obama, this year OctoMom. The only this missing is the spandex and a huge "red" O on both of them!

Bruce Lee + Numchucks = Ping Pong ???

Never in a million years would I have ever competed with Bruce Lee in the world of martial arts. I don't think any normal sane person would. But what about ping pong? Maybe....just maybe. Let's take a look at some of his game film, then we'll make up our minds.

On second thought........maybe not.

AttaBoy of the Week: FedEx

How cool is it when a major corporation steps up of their own free will, and at a potentially large expense, and helps the little guy. It doesn't happen often, but today it is. FedEx Office (formerly FedEx Kinkos) is offering to print free of charge up to 25 resumes on high-quality paper suitable for distribution. The service is available today only (during normal business hours) at all FedEx Office stores and on their website. Read all about it here . You can also get more information by calling 1-800-463-3339. For being a good corporate neighbor, FedEx Office gets our "Attaboy of the Week!"

Sunday Night Timewaster -- Stateris

So while you killing time on a Sunday night, dreading the arrival of another work week, try this one on for size. Stateris, simply put, is tetris with the states. Not as easy as it sounds. Don't believe me? Give it a try!

Did You Remember To.........

Daylight Savings Time kicked in last night. It sure was nice having that extra hour of daylight today. But I'm still not sure about losing that hour of sleep. Ask me about it tomorrow morning. If you forget to set your clocks forward....better check now. Your boss will probably appreciate it!

2008 In Under 4 Minutes

As we enter into the new year, there are lots of things I will be ranting about, laughing at, and sharing with you in the days ahead. But tonight I thought we would take a look at the year gone by.

No, this isn't going to be one of those dull boring "year in review" posts like so many other blogs and websites are doing. Instead, I thought I'd share this incredibly funny video from You Tube. It's part of a larger series of vids called "Uncle Jay Explains."

So sit back and enjoy as Uncle Jay Explains 2008 (in under four minutes).
