Bonehead of the Week, April 09, 2006

SO MANY BONEHEADS, SO LITTLE TIME! This week, the honor goes to Representative Cynthia McKinney, D-GA. Just when you think you've seen it all, along come this so called public servant from the Peach State. I'm resisting the urge to say "She's a real peach, ain't she?" I would dare say that Martin Luther King is none too happy today as he looked down on her behavior from this past week. The most shocking and disappointing part of the whole ordeal was that after she punched the police officer, she tried to portray herself as a victim of racism. People wonder why racism still exists in America after all these years? All you have to do is take a look at Rep. McKinney and people like her and it isn't hard to understand why disgusting organizations like the KKK are still around today. All she has done with her actions of this past week and her insincere apology, is give fuel to the hate groups that continue to push forward their unacceptable agendas. Had she not been a Member of Congress, would Cynthia McKinney, a " black female" who ignored the lawful orders of a Capitol Police officer and then struck him when she was restrained from proceeding further, have been arrested for assault? Sure she should have been! While members of Congress make our nations laws, the should in no way be above them. Rep. McKinney was wrong and this isn't the first time she has defied the very laws in place to help protect her. Her gender and her race provides her no more immunity than did the distinguished military service of Rep. Duke Cunningham we he got himself into trouble. She should be arrested and prosecuted. So in honor of all the lost souls who still "just don't get it", this Bonehead of the Week award goes to Rep. Cynthia Mckinney of Georgia. If she isn't charged with assault on a police officerm then here's hoping she gets the message in the mid-term elections this fall!

I agree... unfortunately this is a repeat performance. She has done it before. Hope you don't mind a post from a stranger. Grandma, USAF retired here.

Oh thank goodness I am not the only one to think this person should be called out for her doings. It is a horrible thought that someone that is a represenative of her state is allowed to carry on as she has. She should be fined and/or charged with assault. I don't care if she is one of a few black persons on the GA representative, if you are not wearing the insignia that denotes you are apart of this group you have protocall to adhear to. The officer was simply doing his job and was assaulted for no good reason.
