Picture of the Week, March 07, 2006

On the picture, it is hard to read, but this caption definitely speaks for itself!!! LOL

Captain: "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the Captain speaking. Thank you for choosing to fly Mandarin Airlines. As we taxi out to the runway, please make yourself comfortable...and for those of you on the right side of the plane, please look to your LEFT!"

I hate flying. No wait I hate being flown. I have no control over my own fate and leave my life in the hands of the mechanics on the ground and the pilots in the front. I'll take my chances with the peanuts thank-you.

I had a similar experience at DFW (Dallas Ft. Worth). I had to take off and land and see the scars and the burnt ground where the Delta L-1011 had crashed about 2 weeks before. That crash happened at the end of the runway due to severe wind shear on landing back in the mid-80s. Awful.

OMFG- I would not be riding that plane for sure. EEEK- I once had a bad experience while traveling from Michigan to California. There was alot of turbulance and the stuartess was new and did not know how to calming talk to passengers so she shouted over the pa- " THIS IS AN EXTREME EMERGENCY SITUATION, EVERYONE SIT DOWN, FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELTS NOW- I REPEAT (then she said it again) She had everyone in an uproar including me. Ugh what a nightmare!

Yeah, that looks about as inviting as flying into Midway (Chicago) during a snowstorm.....
B Squared makes an excellent point. We place alot of faith in the experience and integrity of flight and maintenance crews of the airlines.
