I Want My Country Back!, April 15, 2006

Rick Roberts at KFMB-AM San Diego is crystal clear on this subject. He wants his country back. The conservative Southern California morning show host has developed an on-line petition for the public to sign and tons of additional resources at 760kfmb.com.

Rick says: "Here’s the bottom line, I want my country back. I want my kids to be able to walk to the store or walk to school without being abducted by some 3-time convicted child molester. And I'm tired of the politically correct powers that be in this country who just can’t seem to get past the “CAN’T WE JUST HELP THIS PERSON” mentality! No! You can’t help them. But still, you let them loose to prey on more children. I want my kids back. I want my country back."

Our childrens safety is but one aspect of this portion of the website. There are a number of different topics covered. You can sign the petition irregardless of what state you live in and you can get a free "I Want My Country Back" bumper sticker if you want one. You can also download mp3 files of his actual show podcasts and play them back on your computer at your leisure. In addition to all that, this uncommon display of common sense also includes addresses for our elected leaders across the country, website links, copies of sample letters than you can send to your elected leaders. Again, it doesn't matter if you live in California or not, this website is for all Americans who are tired of elected officials who refuse to do their job. If you are tired of the insanity being passed off as politics in America, then I highly recommend that you check this website out and share it with your friends. I think you just might enjoy what you see and hear.

What do you see as the most important issue facing America? (closed poll)
Immigration 3
Iraq 0
War on Terror 4
Healthcare 1
Deficit spending 1
Corrupt/inept politicians 4

I see part of the country coming back here in West Texas. I'm glad folks are thanking these young people for their military service instead of the way we were treated. Now I'm greedy. I want it all back.

he War on Terror and Immigration are both important, and certainly get the lion's share of press. But, I believe that America is in a Healthcare COST crisis. Probably fueled by 12 million illegals who don't have any insurance. Now all I can afford is 'disaster prevention' insurance, and my rising premiums at work are more than eating up my pay increases.

All those topics are important but of course the most important is the corrupt politicians. Too corrupt and weak to deal with the other issues. People in Congress believe more in lining their pockets and worried about getting reelected than what is good for America. In my little humble opinion, clean up the crap sprewed in Congress and Congress will be able to deal with the other issues with the best for America in mind.
