LOW RENT YUPPIES......You know the type. They are the ones talk a big game, wear the izod and khakis or Lands End sweaters and Jordache jeans, and generally fool most people they come in contact with. But if you pay close attention you can bust them wide open.
After they've completely annoyed and irritated everyone around them and they think no one is watching they'll try to sneak away. If you follow them to the parking lot, you will most likely find that they drive an old beat up Ford Escort (or something similar) that spews more smoke than that old run down factory just around the corner. They are usually the same ones who can only get into the local country club by mooching of someone else's membership as a guest and God help you if you ever try to call them on it. Most people who are a part of the yuppie lifestyle are simply content to walk around with their noses up in the air, quietly projecting their air of superiority with nothing more than their presence. Not my cup of tea, but it does take all kinds to make the world go 'round. The low rent yuppies, however, go out of their way to bring attention to themselves in everyway possible. Loud, obnoxious, and quite frankly about one rung up the ladder from white trash.....these are some of the most infuriating people on the planet.
In case you haven't figured it out yet, I'm up on the very tip top of my soapbox!!!!! And in case you're wondering.......yep, I had a run in with one last week. I'm not going to go into all the details of the encounter since they are unimportant to my point, but suffice to say, when they decided to take a personal shot at me.....I sent the shot back across their bow. I called them on their lack of work ethic, their deceit and arrogance, and their total lack of respect for anyone who has the "audacity" (their word not mine) to disagree with their extreme liberal, anti american, anti common sense viewpoints.
Normally, I am very tolerant of other people and their viewpoints.....even if I don't personally agree with them. I think my friends list here on 360 is evidence of that. However, when a person starts taking shots at me, spewing their crap....stand by!!!!!!!!!
Yuppies, I can live with........Low rent yuppies I can't!!!!!!

I especially like your term, "low rent yuppies" - Though I can say I never had the priviledge of meeting someone like this, Nor would I like too- I am glad you told that person(s) off. These kinda people would drive me nuts. I know of the air nose type but am proud to say I have none in my life and thank god for that! LOL

well have you ever had to deal with the low rent yuppies children - the preps? Although many preps in our high school were not the offspring of the low rent yuppies necessarily but the arrogance and the fakness, and the attitude the world owes them everything and they are above rules, morals, ethics, and everything else. grrrrr.
well I am glad that you stood up to them. there is one place I find more yuppies than anyplace else and they are not all overtly far or even hardly left liberals -- and they "congregate" in a place where love, acceptance, and humility should abound, and it does as long as it doesn't interfere with any of their yuppy and preppiness. sorry i may be on a tangent but YOU started it !!! rofl

Mark, Mark, Mark... I thought you would have realized by now that there's such a thing as: personal attacks. It's what liberals are known for. They get backed into a corner and out come the personal insults, because they have nothing else to go on. They are the biggest hypocrites of all. Constantly blathering about tolerance and acceptance, but yet they don't adhere to their preaching. (sighs)

Just be you. Those that are jealous will always take swipes. I've been reeling recently myself. You are entitled to take a swipe occasionally, but there... hidden between the lines is the fact you feel you must defend your actions... you feel guilty...DON'T. Just be you... you are rather a nice person to know.
